Today Britty (my best bud for eva) had a sweet new baby girl!!!!! I have had to deadbolt the door and block it with large pieces of furniture to deter me from running out of the house, getting in my car, driving to the airport, and catching a flight to Texas to hold this new little snuggle bun.
But, I didn’t block the window….. hmm….. gotta run!
Before I make a break for the airport, here’s a great blog post I found out about from a friend’s blog. Read it. Then, try to replicate it. And send me pictures. (Although I’m not sure where you’re going to legally locate an octopus, a howler monkey, and a talking parrot…. or where you’ll find a grocery store that will let you come in and shop like that….)

I really can’t decide if I’m shocked at the sheer quantity of stuff you’re supposed to get in that shopping survivor thing, or amused at the idea of entertaining the kids while you do it. I make my toddler WORK at the store. Granted, he thinks pushing the cart is so much fun he gets upset with my gently guiding hand, so this approach has its own trials. And random kumquats occasionally appear in my cart. And heaven help you if there are no bananas on the kids fruit table at the entrance. But it’s not so bad.

You either have an amazingly well-behaved toddler or y’all don’t have many groceries. I can shop for a few items, but go beyond 25 things in the buggy and we’re very very near meltdown mode….. See my post from today to hear my most recent grocery story. 🙂
