We’ve now been over 24 hours without additional hands. That’s right. It’s just two parents with two kids. And we are surviving! Sure, my laundry is already piling up, but that’s ok.

Today we actually all went to church. It took a little maneuvering, but we made it on time. Peanut stayed in the service with us and I held her the whole time. (She wasn’t happy in her car seat!) Bean somehow ended up conning one of the teachers into letting her stay in the 2 year-old room. She was pleased as punch.

RayRay is now finished with work and school, so he can settle in for a time of rest. Of course, this rest is broken up every 3 hours with a feeding time for Peanut, but it’s still rest. 🙂

One thing about nursing is that you get hungry all the time. (All of the moms out there just hollered an “Amen.”) Tonight I discovered a wonderful snack. Healthy? Well, not really. But, yummy! Here it is:

mab’s Midnight Snackies

Graham crackers
peanut butter
mini chocolate chips
toffee bits

Spread the graham crackers with peanut butter. Sprinkle with chips & bits. Microwave for 15 seconds until the pb is warm and the chips get a bit mushy. Eat. Eat. Eat. Yum. Yum. Yum.

Now it’s time to feed Peanut again. Then I may have some more snackies.
