Bean has a new toy. It’s a large, round, pillow-like stuffed animal. It’s black, but it’s belly has purple stripes. When you push it’s hand, it snores, then Baaas. It’s a sheep. She is terrified of it. Actually, she has a small sheep toy that Baaas and she’s terrified of it, too. She has Muttonophobia.
I was calling this animal a sheep and the hub said, “No, it’s not. Look at that. It’s not a sheep.” Now, it’s strange circular shape and unusual ears do make the particular species of this stuffed animal hard to determine. But, it Baaas, so I still say it’s a sheep. The hub? He responded by saying. “No way! It’s a puma. Or a ladybug.”
A puma or a ladybug?

It’s such odd things that scare babies. E is afraid of his inflatable rolling thing . . . maybe the sound it makes when it rolls?? Who knows!

@KLK: I would be afraid of a puma that says “Baaa!”
Interesting fact for you all: Pumas, cougars, and mountain lions are three different names for the same animal. The difference is merely regional.
