Some of the more astute mabBlab readers may have noticed a new feature in the sidebar. It’s the books I’ve read so far this year. I stole this idea off of another blog, so I won’t claim it as original.
You should know that inclusion on the list doesn’t necessarily mean I recommend a book. It’s all the books I’ve read — good, bad, and ugly. Right now I’m reading through a random assortment of books. Many of them I got for Christmas. Some I picked up at a used bookstore. Some I found laying around.
I’m hoping this starts some conversations. Feel free at any point to e-mail me or leave a comment asking about a certain book. Or, tell me some books you’ve read that you recommend. I have a feeling in the next few months I’ll be reading a lot — especially when I get as big as a whale and am beached on the couch.
In other news, we went to Target tonight. I spent all the gift cards that we’ve accumulated (from many of you very nice people!) and the cash from a few duplicate returns. Bean walked away a winner — 6 Target bags brimming over. Now I gotta figure out how to pack all of this…..
I’d rather go read another book.

Doesn’t have to do with the post, but how long are you in the US? If you mind answering over the blog, email me. If you’re here awhile and have extra time, we’d love to see you.

Ooh, how fun! I was wondering how the baby shopping was going. I want to come over and see all of your fun stuff. What did you get? I’m curious to know what you found out from other moms about what you can’t live without. Maybe I’m missing something!
The poor third child. . . we have nothing “baby” in the house yet except a pack of newborn diapers that I picked up at walmart yesterday. They are sooooo little!

Apropos of nothing, but just as an FYI, it is day 99 and still I have not drunk any milk. (Not sure if anyone was keeping up, but just in case you were wondering)

@KLK: We’ll be in the states through the end of February. I’ll send you an e-mail with more details. 🙂
@Tyra: I want to see pictures of your belly! You should hop on over to my parents’ house where most of the baby crap is currently residing. (And by “crap,” I truly mean “wonderful stuff that will make my life delightful and that I will really really enjoy once baby comes but right now is the stuff of my nightmares because I have to figure out how to get it into just a few bags and I can’t wait to get it over there so that it is once again wonderful stuff instead of crap.”) How are A&A getting ready for little A to come? I’m so excited for y’all!!!!
@Papa Steve: I can hear your bones crying out for calcium all the way from over here. I’m taking advantage of pasteurized goodness while I’m here and drinking gallons a week. Maybe it’s good you don’t partake. It prevents a milk shortage for me.
